Rally driving has long, long traditions in Finland. It could be said as one of our national sports. Finnish drivers are among the most succesful drivers in the world and about half of the rally world champions are finnish. Something about the popularity of rallying in Finland tells the fact that the Finnish WRC competition, Neste Oil Rally, is annually the most popular mass happening in the Nordic Countries. This Grand Prix on gravel has often been selected as the best competition of the series. But of course Neste Oil Rally is far from being the only rally race in Finland. Almost every weekend somewhere in Finland different rally cars speed on the narrow forest roads as the drivers battle against the ruthless clock. The ones to be thanked for this are the tireless organizers, drivers and the fantastic rallyfolk beside the road cheering their favorites to victory.
